Michael Miller, Michael Fuller or Michael Jackson... the name is not important. What IS important is that CRE, that's you, has a tendency to stretch the truth. Whether it be about the open source license which CRE is distributed, or the inaccuracies regarding the PCI compliance of Authorize.Net. Furthermore, I have received reports regarding CRE Secure that suggest that it does not always work [I'll blog about that later]. Considering you have released version after version of CRE Loaded that contains bugs, security issues and unfinished features, I am not surprised.

Fact of the matter is, you try to steer you customers and prospective customers into the most expensive solutions, and you DO NOT have the ability to provide the service as advertised. Your forums are filled with complaints regarding the lack of support posted by paid users of CRE Loaded. I have read countless posts from [now former] hosting customers of yours. I have been involved with CRE Loaded as a coder and a hosting provider for more than 5 years and the end result is always the same - CRE and Sal Iozzia can NOT provide an affordable solution - and can not due so honestly.

Sorry for any confusion.

Michael Fuller is his name not Michael Miller.

If you use CRE Secure, then you DO NOT need expensive hosting. That is the point of CRE Secure. To avoid costly PCI compliance services and systems, and avoid having to change your processing to some 3rd party heavily branded payment processor.

And yes all the Gateways are PCI compliant in their networks, but if you collect the credit card data on YOUR site IN YOUR network, then transmit it to them you are liable for the compliance for your portion of the handling.

You can use any hosted payment page to collect credit card outside your site. We developed CRE Secure and the HTML Clone hosted payment page to be a better hosted payment page.

Consider at all the problems with hosted payment pages, and then look at how we developed CRE Secure.

Again, sorry for any confusion, take another look at CRE Secure
