Skin Your Firefox Browser With Personas

Mozilla Labs has just released “Personas” for the Firefox browser.

What are Personas?

Personas are a lightweight Firefox add-on that allows you to change the look of your browser by adding a “skin.” Switching between Personas is as simple as a few clicks. There are a slew of Personas available at GetPersonas.com, and you can create your own Persona which can be shared with others via the Personas website.

Unlike Themes, the Personas Firefox add-on skins the top [header] and bottom [footer] of Firefox without changing the look of the navigation buttons or menus. A Firefox theme is an add-on that extends the functionality of your browser, but changes the navigation buttons, toolbars and menus.

SupremeCenterHosting.com has created one [of many] Personas for your browsing pleasure. Click here to download our Persona collection.

How do I install the SupremeCenterHosting.com Personas?

1. Enable custom Personas in your version of the Personas Firefox add-on:
* Click on the little fox mask icon in the lower left-hand corner of your browser
* Select “Preferences…”
* Under “Advanced”, select “Show Custom Persona Menu”
* Close the preferences window
2. Create your custom Persona:
* Unpack the zip file somewhere on your computer – Be sure to unpack it in a place where you won’t need to delete the files – the Personas add-on will not load the images if they can not be found
* Click on the little fox mask icon in the lower left-hand corner of your browser
* Select “Custom Persona”, then select “Edit” from its sub-menu
* Choose a name for your Persona [e.g. SupremeCenterHosting.com Persona]
* Specify a header and footer by choosing the images in one of the Persona folders – the header and footer images are clearly marked [e.g. supreme_persona_header1.png]
* Specifiy the text color and accent color for the Persona
* Your new Persona will be automatically selected, or you can manually choose it from the little fox mask menu
